Arkansas Research and Education Optical Network

ARE-ON serves educational institutions and public service agencies, aiming to support the growth of research, education, public service, and economic development in Arkansas. It manages the state’s research and education network. Its members include Arkansas’s four-year public universities, two-year community colleges, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture. The organization’s mission is to promote, develop, and utilize advanced application and communication technologies to advance education, research, public service, and economic growth.
