The Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI) is a nonpartisan, independent health policy center dedicated to enhancing the health of all Arkansans. Established over 25 years ago, ACHI focuses on evidence-based research, public issue advocacy, and collaborative program development. It is recognized nationally and is a founding member of the National Network of Public Health Institutes.
ACHI operates in four main areas: Data & Analytics, Policy Analysis & Development, Research & Evaluation, and Health Innovation & Communications. The organization uses data to inform decision-making, supports the development of health policies, conducts rigorous research, and promotes community engagement to encourage healthy choices. ACHI’s work is guided by a Health Policy Board that sets strategic priorities and addresses the health needs of the population. The organization is funded through federal, state, and philanthropic sources to support its mission.
